Our Rwandan Arabica Specialty Coffee grows along the pristine shores of Lake Kivu on the highly acclaimed and carefully tended Bourbon Coffee Tree. The coffee cherries are lovingly tended and then hand picked, washed and sorted with care. Because of the long and laborious process the coffee farmers and co-op provide, Equal World Coffee will delight your senses with rich aroma and flavor.

It has been recognized that the volcanic soil, altitude, rain fall and temperatures in northeast Rwanda and the Virunga Mountain range provide the perfect conditions for growing the high-end, Connoisseur Grade Specialty Coffee. It is no wonder that our co-op partner, COOPAC has been the recipient of numerous awards in recent years - including the prestigious and globally recognized “Cup of Excellence." This year one of the Co-Op Sectors was awarded the coveted First Place and others sectors also placed high.
